Lukas Michelitsch

LUKAS MICHELITSCH is director and assistant curator at steirischer herbst. He studied drama directing at the Max Reinhardt Seminar, Vienna. His diploma production “eure paläste sind leer (ALL WE EVER WANTED)” by Thomas Köck celebrated its premiere in 2023. In his theatrical works, he deals with ancient material, classical drama, contemporary texts and dramatizations of prose works. He pays particular attention to the spaces in which audience and players meet. At the center of his work is a close collaboration with the ensemble.
